The area around the Visitor Center has lots of wildlife. Another bat on Friday was caught and released. Out on the observation bay there was a Praying Mantis--
Its the biggest one I have ever seen, about 5" long. I used my ring for a size reference. You can read about them here.
Its a long weekend and I hope to get some sewing done. What sort of plans do you have?

ReplyDeleteI've got plans to dive into my 2.5 inch scrap bin and make some blocks for a Simple Simon quilt.
Have a great weekend! Mine will be quiet, I'm sure. The kids and grandkids are all up at the river camping & boating, sitting around the fire & drinking beer, I'm sure. It's what they live for in the summer.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend. We spent today with 3 grandkids at the zoo, and then took another to the Kirby Science Center and out for ice cream. Tomorrow is a family dinner with some cousins of Dave's who are visiting from out of state. Hope to golf and sew on Monday!
