Waiting for Christmas

Spent the last few days relaxing and sewing on a Project Linus quilt. Dug thru my stash and found several pieces of coordinating granny apple green fabric. Did I tell you my favorite color is green?? I have all the blocks made and sashings/9 patches made. I am using a Heartstrings pattern and making it large enuf for a twin bed. Maybe something for a teenager?? Hmmm--what do you think?? Makes me think of sunshine and the smell of fresh mown grass. I keep my "strings" in small laundry baskets--the ones with holes in the sides. I set them on the end of my sewing cabinet, and pull the string I want out the hole. And every so often I "toss" the strings like you would a salad. I feel good, this quilt is totally stashbusting!

I really like this setting for your string blocks! I put the Bourbon Apple Bread recipe on my blog as you asked!

Have a great holiday!
