Sunday Stash Report
Grinding down to the end of the year. I am sewing frantically! This week I finished my friend's quilt and the mystery quilt. I also made 4 pillowcases. All together that used 28 yards. I had to buy two yards for accent/ends on the pillowcases. I was in the hole -24 yards, add the two yards, that makes -26. Subtract the 28 yards, and guess what, I'VE USED TWO YARDS MORE THAN I BOUGHT! Hallelujah!!! I'm in the black! Next year I will keep better records, as I'm wondering what the total used and the total bought was. I suspect the number was pretty high, but I'm too lazy to go back and figure it.
For Christmas dinner I have to make pies. Not too tough. I have a few things to stick in the mail yet, but otherwise Christmas will be fairly quiet.
And because I'm curious--what one thing do you REALLY want Santa to bring? I think I'm going to hope for a cleaning service--I really hate housework!!

I'm with you on the hating housework stuff!
I have to say that the only thing I want Santa to bring me is a longarm mavhine. I know that I'm not getting it but you never know. maybe my hubby won a lottery and never told me. Right! I would like to get one by the time I retire in 4 years. Do you hate housework because it cuts in to your quilting time? I hate it too and I know it's because I have only lazy males in this house. Oh, but is there any other kind? Have agreat day.
Great job this week!!!
I agree with you, I'd like a cleaning service too. Then I can sew instead of clean.
Well done on your stashbusting and on all those lovely finishes! :) And I love your pointsettias in the banner.
Thought you might enjoy two of my favourite quotations:
1. Housework is like stringing beads with no knot on the end.
2. No one ever notices your housework unless it isn't done.
I guess you can tell that I agree with you on the subject! LOL
Oh, and could Santa please bring me a robot who likes to cook? ;-)
Take care, and Merry Christmas!
The only problem with a cleaning service (for me) would that I would feel the compulsion to clean before they came, so they didn't leave the house and say, "What a pig sty!" And I have two (soon to be 3) small kids, so even when a cleaning service would come, it wouldn't be clean by the time DH came home! But maybe someone to wash and put away dishes... Actually, I REALLY want a good iron. Not sure it's going to happen this year; I might have to buy it myself.
Great job on all that sewing!!
I would like to continue next year and use more than I bought, I think I broke even this year. The tote is about 3/4 full plus a fabric pile pulled for my CW Dairy quilt to start in Jan. House work, grr, it does cut into the ME time.
Santa, please bring me a quilting frame that my machine can be adapted for. Thanks!!
I would have to agree with Santa bringing me a longarm machine - then I might be able to get all my tops completed!

I'll go along. I want a maid service too, even once every two weeks would be great! I don't mind keeping the house picked up, that doesn't take up too much of my quilting time. But, I need someone to dust, vacuum, clean bathrooms, baseboards and ceiling fans!! That's the stuff that drains the energy and steals my time. LOL
Great job on having positive numbers, I barely made in the black myself.
Now on santa's gift, tough one. Would like a longarm machine, but I want a new sewing machine too.
what one thing do I REALLY want? that's hard.
a second car
enough money so I could work part time
a peek into my kids' futures to see them living independently and coping well
inspiration to finish all these quilts I've started.
you moving in down the road.
my dream home on a big plot of land that's still close to work and church
ahhh well. I think if I just have to pick ONE thing for Santa to bring me it'll be hugs and snuggles from my hooligans and hubby. (oh and getting canceled from work on Christmas Day!)
Great job hitting positive numbers!!!
I'd like Santa to bless my son and husband with health and happines. Think he can pull that off?
I can think of a lot of little things I could ask for, but honestly, I have everything I need and more.
