6+ years ago I bought a small Acer Netbook PC. I loved her! But over the last year she's become slower and slower, until *zonk* even her screen quit. I've muddled along using Ken's laptop. I never mastered blogging from my tablet. Last week an Asus netbook was on sale at Staples ($172) and it came home with me. Completely new to me Windows 8.1 etc.
Its going to take a while to get used to but I've missed a keyboard and mouse! My tablet is handy but I prefer a keyboard/PC to blog surf and type comments.
Do you prefer a PC, a tablet, or your phone??

I use a tablet but do miss my laptop. A friend is working on it now. If the tablet were more yahoogroup friendly I wouldn't mind.
I love my iPad and even blog from my phone occasionally. But I do prefer my laptop for certain things. I have a blue-tooth keyboard and case attached to my iPad and that definitely helps with some things too.
I have an iPad and a laptop and love each for different reasons. Posting from the iPad is nearly impossible, so I use the laptop. I prefer to iPad for reading blogs and email and using the Internet.
I definitely prefer my laptop or even a desktop. I've used my son's iPad but see it as more of a toy and the phone is just too small! Win 8.1 is much more user friendly than Win 8 especially if you set it up so the old familiar desktop comes up at boot-up. With the Chrome browser set up with my favorite sites showing in the bookmark bar at the top and my most used programs lined up in the Windows task bar at the bottom of the screen it's all very handy.
Hi Lori,
My new PC is awesome. 11inch screen. It has a keyboard. It is a touchscreen. I can remove the keyboard and use like a tablet.
Phone waaaay too small for these 53yo eyes.
So I have the best of all worlds. Tablet. Keyboard. PC. whatever mood or need strikes.
I prefer my laptop. I don't have a tablet - bu do use my phone to check emails, FB, when out. But don't pot from it. As I type a lot (touch type from waaaaaaay back) the laptop or a desk top is much much better to use than 'two finger' typing. Like QuiltinLibraryLady said I have mine set up to resemble my old desktop, especially my favourite sites. Also it is much easier to bookmark something, print, etc etc.
I am in the midst of device decrepitude. I upgraded the iPad operating system and now it won't reliably pick up wireless unless I turn it off and turn it on again. Now the updated iPad won't sync with the iPhone -- very frustrating for photos. I use my 6+ yr old netbook mostly for listening to downloaded audiobooks--rarely for going online. And my laptop computer is now 7 years old and needs updating. I just heard on NPR that Microsoft is going to release Windows 10 which is supposed to be a big improvement over Windows 8.
I love my MacBook Pro laptop! I gave my tablet to my son - drove me crazy - and I have a stupid phone. =) It's so great to scroll down your blog and catch up on what you're doing. I guess it won't be long and you'll be heading out for the summer.
