Rainbow Scrappy Saturday--PINK

This week I started a new project and used PINK--

Pink Three Steps Forward block -- 18"
Its called Three Steps Forward by Vickie Eapen.  The newest challenge on Stashbusters is the August 1st Bust your FQs challenge.  Very few FQs at my house, I cut most of them up last summer and there are only a few unloved ones left.  Instead, I am using my "traveling stash" of chunks to sew along.

Tote of Traveling Stash
Odd sized pieces, small amounts of yardage--what I call "chunks".  Ken brought a partial bolt of cream/tan fabric for background.  The pattern is a large Jacob's Ladder block--and I love vintage patterns.  72x90" is a perfect size--this year I'm making quilts for a boys home--so need long twin quilts.  Please see everyone's pink projects at SoScrappy.

This week I finished making Apple Crisp blocks.  Needed at least 99 to set them 9x11.  Next week I need to sew more of them together.  I have 30 "twosies" made.  Next is "threesies".

Have a great weekend--we're having perfect weather here.

We're getting some much-needed rain today - hurray!
I'm a big fan of vintage blocks, too. That Jacob's Ladder will be fun to piece, and make a terrific quilt!
Enjoy your perfect weather!

Yowzah, that's PINK! Great to hear more of the FQ challenge, and I might need to do two of them, as I fell in love with your find of the Prairie Flower with Jenny Doan at MSQC. Nice looking traveling stash, what fun to play in that!

You are one busy quilter!
Lovely weather here too. Perfect for canning beans & apples & freezing sweet corn, which what is on the agenda for tomorrow. No Orchard Days Celebration for me since I'll be doing it all alone. The hubby is going to Canton for the care show. Way to get out of doing corn!!

Geez, can't spell or write a coherent sentence! Meant "which is what is on the agenda". Meant car show.
