Rainbow Scrappy Saturday--Green!!

One of my favorite colors--GREEN!!

There will be more green blocks next week.  Please see everyone's green projects at SoScrappy.

No blogging here for a while.  Life has been busy and I've had a miserable toothache.  Dentist visit earlier in the week and antibiotics.  A tooth is cracked, not a good candidate for a root canal.  An extraction was scheduled, but it miraculously quit hurting and so the extraction is being put off until a new dental insurance year. (July 1st)  I'm hoping to avoid paying the $930 out of pocket!  The camper has been moved to my spot in Yankton, next week I'll be back at the Visitor Center.  Its a unseasonably COLD weekend, freeze warnings for tonight.  Is winter never going to end??  And its been raining.  We had ponds on the lawn!

I had a finish too--Alletaire!!!

Lorri2Rs climbed some rocks at Falls Park in Sioux Falls so I could take a picture.  Thank you 2Rs!   With all the rain the Falls were very pretty--

Laura Beth and Nick held the quilt so i could take another picture--

I'm kinda proud of it.  Can you tell??

While in Sioux Falls I had an afternoon out with grandson #2.

Playing at the mall.

There was a chocolate fountain where we ate, that was a hit!  Grandson #2 missed Grandson #1.  No one to play or fight with.  But we had a good time.

Borders were sewn on two tops this week--

A Bricks & Stepping Stones.

And Cozy Cabins.  They can go in the TBQ (to be quilted) pile.

There was also stash enhancement.  MAJOR stash enhancement!!

It doesn't look like much you say?  Oh--you are so wrong!!  Three priority mail boxes stuffed full.  Everything from FQs to yardage.  No good way to measure it, I weighed it.  At 3.5 yard per pound, that was 100 yards!!  A box of green, brown, and chicken fabrics.  Green and brown stash is used quickly here, those are favorite colors.  And chickens, well, I love chickens and plan a chicken quilt this year.  I am so happy to a fellow quilter who thought of me when this fabric was offered for sale.  Thank you Teresa!!

Projects boxes have been labeled and ready to take to the camper.  Not sure if I'll get much sewing done this week, mostly putting things away and getting back into the routine.

Lucky you with that stash enhancement! Boo on the toothache but hopefully the pain stays away until the new insurance kicks in.
Your quilt is just beautiful - you should be very proud of such a great finish.

Allietare looks great with the scalloped edge - well done.

Few things are worse than an aching tooth, especially when you need to wait for treatment. Take care.

I know you will put every ounce of that fabric to good use - enjoy.

Your Allietare quilt is beautiful! You should indeed be proud of it. And the other two tops you bordered are also pretty wonderful. Having been through 18 months with a dental extraction and implant, I wish you ALL the best with your dental procedures!

Congrats on the beautiful Allietare with the scalloped border, a beautiful finish, as are the two flimsies. Enjoy your fabrics and have a good time in your camper. Are you a greeter or helper at a park? I had friends who did it every summer. A chicken quilt is a great idea.

Your Allietare quilt is awesome! And with two tops finished, what's another 100 yards of fabric. A pittance, really. Hope your tooth continues to behave itself.

Congrats on Alletaire! It's gorgeous.
I'm looking forward to that chicken quilt. I have a bunch of chicken (and other farm) fabrics too.

Take care of yourself. Don't get me started on insurance!!!!

A BIG congratulations on finishing Allietare! It's beautiful and lots of work went into that. You even did the scalloped border. Wow! You've inspired me to keep plugging away on mine again. This week!

You will have lots of fun with those boxes of fabric. Enjoy!!

Wow, over $900 to get a tooth pulled?? That's outrageous to say the least!

Your Allietare is gorgeous and your finished tops are great too. And that haul of fabric...wow! That's enough to keep you in fabric for a long time.

I'm so sick of cold weather too. All I want is 75, sunshine, low humidity and VERY little wind. Is that asking for too much, even for just a few days?? Long range forecast says a fairly cool summer....hope you have a good heater in the camper, mornings might be chilly.

Your Allietare quilt is stunning. Love the scalloped border. Someone needs to pin a blue ribbon on that one! And finishing two other tops too! Woohoo! You've accomplished a lot!

Alletaire is absolutely gorgeous! I thought of you this week when we were going to Omaha and I saw the signs for Yankton. The stash enhancement is awesome. I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of it.

Your Allietare turned out beautifully! Congrats on the finish. You've got lots of other pretty projects in the works. Looks like you've got a few more finishes not far off.
