Rainbow Scrappy Saturday--RED

This week I worked on Arrowhead blocks--

Reds with gold.  Please see what everyone is doing at SoScrappy.

Other than lots of rain (4.10" on Thursday) life is pretty quiet.  The rain delayed plans I had to cut a new project.  There isn't a large surface to cut on the camper and I was going to cut outside on a picnic table.  Instead I stayed inside, did a little sewing and lots of drinking coffee and reading!

That's a lot of rain! We got a little over an inch. Sure have been enjoying these beautiful days...even though I spend most of them inside canning, canning, canning. In between I made a Halloween table topper for the Quilt Club door prize and made a sample Halloween wall hanging for the meeting project. All I had was a picture I had found on the Internet and had to make the sample and write the pattern from that. I like the way mine turned out and I hope the others get theirs finished for Halloween too. The table topper turned out cute and I may have to make one for myself, though maybe a little smaller...2" strips instead of 2 1/2". The last couple days I've been pressing & counting the little 3 1/2" Spool blocks for the Spoolin' Around quilt from Bonnie Hunter. The Delectable Mountain blocks I started at our retreat in August are finished & mellowing in their container until there is time to put them together. Retirement has been busy so far!!

I love your blocks!

We had 2.2", which is quite enough for this week! I think we're approaching 30" for the last month or so. The farmers can't bring in the corn with all the rain.

Your Arrowhead blocks turned out nicely! Here's hoping that you have better weather for cutting your project in the coming days.

The arrowhead blocks are looking good. It's so tough to get things done in limited space. I have just a one bedroom apt. My studio is more than half of my bedroom, no design wall, just design floor, limited space. Will you be there much longer?

Beautiful reds! Sounds like a great way to spend a rainy day.

One of my goals is actually to own a camper....and to sew in it LOL
Hubby and I dream about it a lot, and hopefully one day we can make it a reality.
