A Few Finishes

Last week Mary in SD dropped off quilts she finished the binding on.  I was so glad she did!  A fellow Stashbuster reminded everyone subcontractors are wonderful!  Here are two quilts--

Mary in South Dakota pieced the tops and made and applied the binding.  Judy B in Minnesota supplied the backings.  I quilted them.  The quilts are 75x95 more or less.  These will go to the boys group home.  YIPPEE!

Camping season is still going strong.  The campgrounds are full, the weather is perfect.  Life is good.

I really like the one with the aquas, browns & creams. Simple but so striking. Quilt finished has slowed down around here. The name of the game now is canning (at least until the lids or jars run out) & freezing.

Love the quilts. Did Mary have a pattern for the second one?

Yes, the second quilt is called, "Flabbergast", by Claudia Pfeil. It was published in McCall's Quilting in July/August 2019.

The original is 82" x 60". I enlarged mine to fit a twin bed for the Boy Quilts we make.

I won't make another one of this pattern - one was enough! But it is a wonderful quilt for a boy to enjoy and ponder over.
