Sunday Stash Report and Snow

First, let's get the stash report out of the way. Last week I bought 6 yards. Yes, I did! And have already cut into it. So the totals are---
40 1/3 yds bought year to date
24 1/2 yds used to date
So I'm not quite 16 yds in the hole.

But, I almost have a finish. I'm so close I can taste it! My Christmas Courthouse Steps is quilted and even has the binding machine sewn on it. See??

Quilting the last foot.

Done quilting and the binding machine sewn on!

I pieced the backing out of odd bits of Christmas fabric.

And then there was the snowstorm. Interstate 90 was closed last night from Sioux Falls across the state west to Wall. Almost clear across, and the edges they were advising no travel. I live in the middle of the worst of the storm. Of course!

Ruby and I left foot prints and Ruby's belly drug in the snow--this was at 1am.

Noon today.

My ramp.

Across the yard-the neighbor's tree.

Not sure how much snow there is, but we're guessing it must be about a foot. Where is spring??

Your quilt is wonderful...you'll be ready for Christmas...and it will be here before we blink. OMG, look at all that snow and we're complaining that Wednesday morning it's supposed to be 40...OK no more complaining from me.

I love your snow pictures!! I love even more that it's you with the snow and not me!!!! But fresh fallen snow always looks so pretty!! but you are right, you did get a huge dump of it, that is not fun.... I hope it goes away, but not so quickly that anyone gets water damamge with flooding or some such nonsense!!

And give yourself a huge pat on the back for the courthouse steps!! that is great!!!! Great report!!

Snow??? Move to Lincoln, all we got was some rain, a lite dusting of snow and now the sun is shinning! Oh yes, love the quilt, it's a beauty ... as always. The coffee pots bring back memories of home! Thanks for sharing!

Where is spring, indeed. Looks like you have more snow on your deck than we had on our porch, even though it was even with the bottom of the storm door.

Good job getting your quilt quilting & binding sewed on. It's beautiful. Don't you just love scrappy?

Winter pictures, in April. I love the quilt. I made a courthouse steps quilt for a friend of ours, I guess that it was last year sometime. It's an enjoyable quilt to make.

Wow! That's an incredible amount of snow considering how far we are into spring. Its enough for me to say no to moving further north! ;-)

WOW! That is a lot of snow! I hope it warms up for you soon!

I bet once you count all the stash busted for that quilt you'll have positive numbers. Great job making so much progress this week!

My son is too young to go anywhere without me or my husband, but he has his own agenda to fill his week off. He doesn't even mind the snow coming our way (nowhere near the foot you got).

The snow wimped out by the time it got to us...just an inch that soon melted. Maybe spring will stick around now!

Almost there on the quilt! As for the snow, my DH was complaining that we had snow flurries this morning. I suppose that's why I can't convince him to move any farther north!

Your quilt is great. The snow? Not so great! It missed us this time.

Hi Lori - guess my comment from yesterday didn't make it. Hopefully this one will. Your snow pictures make me shiver - and I was all huddled up walking to get the paper at 48 degrees. It's beautiful though - as are your quilts. I'm so envious that I can't even make myself do one small wall hanging. Inspire me!

The coffee pots are not familiar, but they do look like they would make a good comforting cup or 2.

Holy Cow! Look at that snow! Poor Ruby; bet she'd consider a doggy catheter right about now.

Spring is in NC and we're not sharing, apparently. (Though they are predicting snow flurries tomorrow)

I love your log cabin quilt and you pieced the backing - great stash busting there.
The snow is so pretty! Wish we had some from time and time here.

Playing Catchup

Its been busy!  Thanksgiving has come and gone, soon it will be Christmas.  We got our vaccinations a couple weeks ago--Covid, RSV, Influena...
