Motivation Friday

Time to check on the goals.

  1. Sew picket fence units together--yes
  2. Borders on Green Urban Cabin--no
  3. Work on a UFO--
  4. Play a little!--YES
Most the garden is planted.  Worked in the flower beds.  Henrietta and I had a few days of Zombiedom.   I baked two batches of kuchen.  Today we had haircuts and browsed at a thrift store.   A large storm front was moving in from the Nebraska panhandle and we drove into heavy rains.   The storm had a very distinctive "line"--but its quite cool and there wasn't anything like tornadoes--just wind and rain.

The rains are supposed to last a few days and it will be good sewing weather.  The air conditioning is off and the heat is on again!

Zombiedom, huh? What exactly does that entail??

Rain here too this afternoon and evening, with enough lightning to convince me to keep the sewing machine & quilting machine unplugged, as well as the computer. Aren't laptops with a good battery great?

Here in Vermont we had snow today. Nothing that stuck, but it is a change from all the rain we have had all week. Obviously it is cold, or at least cool -- 33. I was thinking we were going to move to South Dakota during the cool part of Spring, but hearing that you have run your air conditioner already did not bring a real smile to my face. BOOOOOOOOO!

That cloud line is interesting.

I sure wish it would rain here! It is extremely dry and moisture would be very welcome (even snow).

Thrift shop browsing is a favorite of mine, too. Did you find any treasures?

@ Robin
It got up to mid 80's one afternoon and the breeze died. I turned on my AC for about 1/2 an hour but my house is older than Lori's and has much thicker walls and smaller windows. Those picture windows so popular in the 60's and 70's are wonderful for letting light in but with the sunlight comes heat.

Zombiedom = extreme inertia plus foggy brain, get up and go went someplace else.

LOVE, LOVE, (and respect) skies like that! Big and bold, and maybe powerful! Glad nothing destructive came with it.

Playing Catchup

Its been busy!  Thanksgiving has come and gone, soon it will be Christmas.  We got our vaccinations a couple weeks ago--Covid, RSV, Influena...
