Sunday Stash Report, or Where Are My Scraps??

No stash bought, nothing finished.  Not very interesting, but good for my pocketbook!

My favorite type of quilt to sew is a scrap one.  Remember when I pieced a whole Heartstrings top ONLY from scraps found on the floor of my sewing room?   I am almost OUT OF SCRAPS!!  Yes, this is what I have left--

That pile is about 1/2 a small round laundry basket--not much.  All my odd bits have been cut into 2.5" noodles or bricks (3.5x6.5").    My shelves are much neater.  All the small bits are gone.  But, I MISS my scraps.  Maybe that is where my mojo went.  I think my next projects will use some of those noodles.  I have a large bin of them.  I think Henrietta drew me up a pattern (she is very good at that--patterns and math!)

let me know if/when you need more scraps. I'll be most happy to send some along to you for heartstrings quilts.

Would you like some more scraps. I have tons and they make me crazy. I just can't throw them away but I have no plans to make something out of them. They are yours if you would like them.

I also have many scraps to share...lol. Waiting for your noodle quilt...I love patterns using 2.5 inch strips!

Found you! Good for you of using almost all of your scraps! Although I so understand you and your missing scrap = mojo dilemma. I had just cleaned my sewing area - not so much of scraps but stacked fabric from recent projects. It lasted about 2 hrs and I am back to chaos at the sewing table. And it feels right...

he he he...you should know better than to lament about not having any scraps left, lol...it will be raining scraps at your house if you don't watch it ;-)

Oh how I wish I was at that stage! I've cut things up into strings and squares but I'M NOT GETTING THEM USED!!! I think I need to do a heartstring quilt pretty soon because the noodle bin is overflowing.

That's great! I've just begun taming some of my scraps. I find it is a fun pastime on some days - to have music on and just keep cutting squares/strips etc. and let my mind wander!
