Design Wall Monday and Weekly Goals

I have 70 Anita's Arrowhead blocks completed---

Night pictures have cruddy color.  Try to overlook that!  I'm enjoying making these blocks, only 51 more for a queen size top.

Goals for the week---
  1. Load a quilt on the Princess
  2. Complete 10 more Arrowhead blocks
  3. Finishing binding Henrietta's Leaf quilt

I'm way ahead on my monthly stash organizing goal.  Tonight I did my sewing room closet--there were 8 "cubes" of fabric plus what was stored on top of the cubes.  The results--one box of batiks, one box of 30's, one box of civil war repros.  A cube each of solids, hand dyes, fossils ferns and moda marbles, and one of indigo's.  If I'm very brave I'll look UNDER my sewing table later this week.  I've found a few unexpected things.  Why do I have at least 10 yards of solid red?  I don't remember buying it.  Maybe someone gave it to me??  I found one UFO--the blocks are pieced and sashed and the magazine with the pattern is there too.  I was looking for my 30's and the solids that matched--I found them.  Now I have to remember why I was looking for them!

The weather has been unusually warm--but colder weather will be here in a few days.  I found a ham bone with some ham on it in the freezer--ham and bean soup is planned.  The "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day" book is out--maybe some really good Peasant bread with the soup.  YUM!!

I love the way your arrowhead blocks are looking. I need to tackle my sewing room too. I know there are some surprises waiting for me there as well.

The blocks look great and you are getting so organized. Now if that could just motivate me!!! I did get a new shelf and that helps and a rack for my Accuquilt GO dies so guess I am a little bit better organized myself.

those are great blocks! do you trim the long rectangles in the corners, or do you actually cut them like that before piecing? I am also jealous of your organization efforts.. I still have much to do! Keep it up.

Your arrowhead blocks are looking great! Congratulations on making such progress in organizing your sewing room too. Soup and bread sounds like the perfect dinner and it can cook by itself while you keep sewing :-)

I saved the arrowhead pattern from Quiltmaker Magazine. I've always wanted to make that quilt. Yours looks great.

Your arrowhead blocks have inspired me to at least find the pattern and to ponder making a quilt.

So many projects and too little time.

Nice arrowheads! Getting organized is a constant work in progress, isn't it? Good job on all you did so far.

The Anita's Arrowhead blocks are looking good. What size are they?...you're sure making a lot of them. From what I've read on the blogs almost everyone has been in an organizing mood. The closest I've come is to sort through my crumb drawer and toss out anything that wouldn't make at least a 2" square. DH can sort through the throw-aways for anything he can use for gun cleaning patches.

Hey, no fair - you're ahead of me on the monthly stash review. No, I'm glad you got so much done and in the boxes.

I've been playing with the UFO project so I haven't attacked my box for the month.

10 yards of red - make sure you wash that baby before using! I've been hit and miss on washing fabrics, so I wash all reds before using, even if I remember washing them the first time.

You bought that red when you made the big red and white quilt I think.
