Design Wall Monday and Weekly Goals

I have a Design Wall Floor.  The 36 Patch blocks are together--

36 Patch Blocks Rainbow Scrappy Challenge 2012

The Spinning blocks are together too--

Spinning Blocks Rainbow Scrappy Challenge 2012
I'm not sure how I'll finish them.  Maybe no borders on the 36 patches (more vintage looking??) but the spinning blocks need a border or two to stop the movement.  What do you think?

The Basic Sampler blocks Week 2 are done--

And I've been plugging away making YoYos!  See everyone's design wall at Patchwork Times.

Weekly Goals--
  1. More yoyos!
  2. Week 3 & 4 Basic Sampler Blocks
  3. Rainbow Scrappy blocks
Its fall weather at its best right now--warm days and cool nights.  Perfect camping weather.  Harvest is right around the corner.

I love both of your quilts. I think the binding will stop the motion on the second one. Not every quilt needs a border is my new mantra!

I am going borderless on some of my quilts. I like the look.

Those 16 patches look great. I think it is because you used fabrics that look mostly solid in the photograph. Lots of great eye candy here. Thanks.

Two fabulous tops! I especially like the second one.

Both are beautiful but the spinning block is really stunning. Wow!

I love the way some of your spinning blocks are lower contrast, makes it more interesting.

I love the sppinning blocks! I have a phobia about borders so tend to skip them!

Lori - what size were your strips for Spinning blocks. I have some blocks using 2 1/2 in. strips and the end block looks kinda kluncky and large. Yours look smaller. It's a GREAT quilt and good for scrappy, or for a group quilt.

How did I miss this post? I guess there were a couple of weeks that I just didn't get through all the Design Wall posts. I am in awe with all your finished tops here. I like your Spinning Spools w/o a border.
