Design Wall Monday and Weekly Goals

A new project has been started this week--the Basic Blocks Sampler.  The first block is a favorite--Jacob's Ladder.

Yes--its the design wall picnic table!  (patriotic vinyl table cloth--I love those stars)   A teal blue and a rust paired with the light apricot background.  Please see everyone's design walls at Patchwork Times.

Weekly Goals--
  1. finish one more YoYo block
  2. lay out a set of blocks to sew together
  3. work on doll quilt
That's about all I have at the camper with me.  The days are getting shorter but so far not cooler.  Have you started any new projects?  Finished an old one?

Great job. I love Jacob's Ladder quilts. Can't wait to see what's next.

Nice blocks - the apricot fabric is very subtle.

New knitting projects in the works here, but gads, I need to finish some older ones, too.

Jacob's Ladder is one of my favorite blocks too. I'm trying to finish up a UFO this week - working on the binding. It's still hot here too - close to 100.

Jacob's Ladder is definitely an old favorite of mine too. I have never done a whole quilt using it, but have included it in some sampler quilts in the past.

I'm working on UFOs this week again. I got my Dr Seuss top done, and now I'm going to finish the blanket stitching on the applique wallhanging. And I'll just keep plugging away on scrappy trip around the world blocks, string blocks, and now the flying geese pinwheels. Those are just some of my unfinished block sets.

Your blocks look great and so very well made! I would never have guessed that your background was apricot-colored since on my monitor it is just plain white, so I'm glad that you mentioned that. sounds pretty!
