Rainbow Scrappy Challenge and Motivation Saturday

January's Rainbow Scrappy Challenge Color was REDWhile sorting I pulled some red scraps--

Puss in Corner and Garlic Knot blocks.   Looks like a lot of red, but a quilt needs 100 or more of these blocks.  And who says I can only make one quilt??!!  I had a few other scraps to play with and made these--

No red, but they were fun anyway!  I'm linking with SoScrappy.

How are my goals??

Prep a top to quilt--No
Organize the scraps etc I am taking to the NE Cutting Party--Yes
Sew more of the R/W top together--Yes

We had a busy couple of days this week, Max came to visit--

We picked him up Wednesday night and I took him home on Friday.  This is the first time he stayed with us without his brothers.  It had its ups and downs, he was homesick.  He immediately was back to his sunny self when we packed on Friday morning and he asked to stop at McDonalds for lunch.

Today he played outside with his brothers--

He had wild hair afterwards!  Boy we miss him!

Back to packing for Nebraska!  Are you planning a Scrap Attack?

I can't say I'm planning a Scrap Attack. More like a Genealogy Attack. LOL My sewing room/guest room/office has been overtaken by genealogy. Over the last two or three years I have accumulated so much stuff from the old online newspapers and FindAGrave and saving it on my computer that I decided to print it all out and sort it so I could start entering it in my genealogy program. But.....my laptop proved to be on it's last legs so I got a new one after fighting with it for the better part of two weeks (actually since last March if the truth be known). Then I had to re-download all my files from Dropbox (thank goodness for Dropbox). It's slow going and eats up more bandwidth than we are allowed on our Internet plan so it's costing extra. Now that that is finished I may completely wipe the hard drive on the old laptop and do a clean install of Windows 10 to see what happens. I suspect the memory has gone bad & it won't do much good. If not I may just see if I can take it apart & replace memory. It might at least work as a DVD player if that works. So you can see, there's not much sewing going on here right now. Are you ready for the Polar Vortex to come blowing through? Sounds like it might be a good week to do all kinds of indoor things.

Playing Catchup

Its been busy!  Thanksgiving has come and gone, soon it will be Christmas.  We got our vaccinations a couple weeks ago--Covid, RSV, Influena...
